About us

Asim is a Canadian born Pakistani who lived a great part of his life in Montreal and in a society where Muslims were few. During his youth, it was easy to recognize Muslims since there were so few. Today, more and more Muslims from all over the world were coming to the city. There are Muslims all over and in every country of the world. Immigrants who leave their native countries for a new fresh start elsewhere don't seem to recognize other cultures. Many Muslims found it difficult find other Muslims to turn to for help. A fellow Muslim could cross paths with another brother of the same faith and not know it. Asim believes that all who follow Islam should know, recognize, share their knowledge with one another; in doing so, our knowledge becomes wider and more comprehensive. Asim worked diligently to find some way to gather all Muslims through recognition. How can Muslims recognize one another? The goal was clear. Create a symbol and an organization that all Muslims can and will identify with. A symbol that would encourage one's human curiosity thus allowing a Muslim individual to open a dialogue towards a new friendship.
